
Students from the Expressive Arts Therapy Program at the Department of Music and Fine Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, An-Najah National University, participated in the "Creative Arts for Children's Mental Health" Conference, organized by Red Noses Palestine, with the participation of academics, specialists, and representatives of local and international organizations working in the fields of mental health and creative arts.
The students' participation came through the partnership between the Faculty of Fine Arts and Art from the Heart – Nablus, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and community collaboration. The conference provided students with the opportunity to explore the latest practices and approaches in utilizing creative arts as a tool for psychological and social support, particularly for children and other vulnerable groups.
The conference featured scientific and panel sessions, practical demonstrations, and field experiences highlighting the therapeutic role of creative arts in promoting mental well-being, building psychological resilience, and supporting children affected by challenging circumstances. It also showcased successful models of expressive arts interventions and created opportunities for networking and collaboration among academic and professional institutions working in this field.
This participation reflects the Faculty of Fine Arts' commitment to integrating academic learning with practical experience and encouraging students to engage in scientific and professional events that enhance their knowledge, develop their skills, broaden their experience, and prepare them for professional practice in accordance with the latest international trends in expressive arts therapy.
At the conclusion of the event, the Faculty of Fine Arts expressed its sincere appreciation to Art from the Heart – Nablus for its valuable support in facilitating the students' participation and strengthening its partnership with the University, thereby providing high-quality educational and training opportunities that enrich students' academic and professional experience while contributing to the advancement of the Faculty's programs and community engagement.
