Wednesday, April 26, 2018, The Department of Plastic Arts held an exceptional meeting via Webinar with American contemporary visual artist Suzanne Mitchell, the Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Metropolitan State University of Denver and the Lecturer of Art at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
This conference has come within concerted efforts of the department and Office of International Development and External Affairs at the university in order to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of art. Artist Suzanne outlined her art project Self-portrait that paired art students from An Najah with students in Boulder who work collaboratively to create mutual artworks which will be exhibited in both cities very soon.
Mr. Jamal Naesa, the project coordinator emphasized the role of these kind of projects that call for creating a common sense through a collective work base, in addition to extend the bridges of communication and mutual cooperation between students inside and outside Palestine which in its turn affirms their presence on the international scene.
